  1. What is windshield repair? Answer: Rock and debris damage on your windshield can be prevented from spreading or increasing in size, by injecting a clear diamond clear acrylic resin into the fracture. The repair process bonds the glass together and cures harder than the original glass and hides a large amount of the damage. Top

  2. Where is your shop location in Albuquerque? Answer: We are a mobile service that comes to conveniently to your home, office or business. Top

  3. How much will it cost? Answer: Auto & Light Truck Windshield Repair: 1st rock chip repair $49.95
(All pricing is listed on our homepage) Top

  4. Will my insurance company pay for the repair? Answer: Yes, most insurance companies will pay all of the repair cost for comprehensive policy holders. They will wave any size deductible and reimburse you. We can bill insurance companies for you or you may submit our invoice for reimbursement directly from your insurance provider. Top

  5. Why does my insurance company say your price is too high? Answer: Your insurance company may try to tell you to go to one of their "preferred service providers", which is illegal. You have the right to choose where you get repairs done, not where the insurance company has negotiated the lowest price for windshield repairs. Remember you get what you pay for. We use the best quality equipment and resins available in the world and provide professional, certified technicians and reliable customer service. The result is the best repair money can buy every time. Top

  6. Will the repair be completely invisible? Answer: No, even the best repair system will still leave a slight scarring. Windshield repairs are to keep the damage from increasing by bonding the surfaces together with optically matched glass resin. Top

  7. How large of rock chip can be repaired and how long of a single crack can be fixed? Answer: Usually if the chip or star can be covered by a quarter it should be okay to repair. A single line crack up to 6" or the length of a dollar bill, is usually repairable. Top

  8. What if the rock chip is directly in my line of sight? Answer: If the damage is not too extreme in the critical area that is located directly above the steering wheel, 8.5 x 11 inch rectangle, it is repairable, but the choice is up to you. Top

  9. Is there a possibility that my windshield will crack further during the repair process? Answer: There is always a slight possibility of a windshield cracking all the way across during a repair. But remember since your windshield is already broken before the repair effort started, you have not lost anything if the attempt to repair it is unsuccessful. Top

  10. Will you remove my windshield to repair it? Answer: No. Your windshield is repaired on the vehicle which prevents disturbing the original seals and prevention of air and water leaks developing after the repair is finished. Top

  11. How long will I be without my vehicle and when will it be safe to drive after the repair? Answer: The resin cures in three minutes and the entire repair will take less than one hour, start to finish and you can drive it as soon as the repair is complete.  Top

  12. May I watch the technician repair my windshield? Answer: Yes, we encourage all our clients to watch the repair process to actually see the detail and quality of our service we perform on every windshield.  Top

  13. Do you sell windshields or do you replace windshields? Answer: No, our only business is windshield repair so you will never have to worry that we will try to sell you a replacement unnecessarily. Top

  14. Why do some of your competitors charge less than you do for a repair? Answer: We only use state of the art equipment and materials along with factory training and certification so you always get what you pay for. If you're shopping for the highest quality repair, reliable service, lifetime guarantee with great customer care, we are what you are looking for. Top

  15. Do you have to drill into my windshield to repair it? Answer: Only if necessary to allow the resin to flow into the fractured area. Most repairs will not require drilling. If it is necessary, a tiny carbide dental bit is used on the outer layer of the windshield. Drilling a tiny hole at the end of a long crack is necessary to stop it from advancing across the glass. Top

  16. How long can I wait before I have a chip or crack repaired? Answer: All damage to your windshield should be repaired as soon as possible. Rock chips and crack will usually continue to spread until a repair is performed. Dirt and grime will also collect in the damage and result in a less favorable looking repair. Top

  17. What should I do if I have a rock chip until I can get it repaired? Answer: Put a piece of clear packing tape over the damage. This will help to keep moisture and dirt out of the break. Top

  18. Is it possible to have my windshield repaired in the rain? Answer: No, moisture will cause the repair to fail. On rainy days we can do the repair in a covered area or just reschedule the appointment. Top

  19. I tried to repair my windshield myself with a kit I purchase at the auto parts store and looks terrible. Can you re-repair it for me? Answer: Most likely not. Any type of repair resin that cures in the damaged area will prevent our products from entering the fracture. Top

  20. What type of warranty do you offer? Answer: Our warranty guarantees the repair will maintain optical clarity, the crack will not increase or fail to pass state inspections for as long as you own the vehicle with the windshield we repaired. Top

  21. Do your repairs ever fail to stop the damage? Answer: Yes, but only about one per one thousand. That is why we offer to repair the increased damage or refund the repair cost, so you will never have to pay for the same damage again. Top

  22. Do you accept credit cards on remote locations? Answer: Yes, we can process your credit card when we come to your location. All major cards are accepted, MC, Visa, Amex, Discover. Top

  23. My headlight lenses are plastic, and have become frosted looking and I'm noticing that I can't see at night to drive unless I use my high beams. Can you fix them too? Answer: Yes. Plastic or acrylic headlight lenses become damaged over time by the sun and pollution. Sometimes, if this is let go the lens will appear yellowed or amber causing problems with night driving. You can replace the bulb quite reasonably but the cost to replace the lenses are remarkably costly. See our headlight lens restoration page here for more information that will save you hundreds of dollars.  Top
